Beyond complaint

There are moments when complaint feels easier than change.

Yet deep within, the Spirit calls us beyond words of frustration into the quiet courage of faith, forgiveness, and surrender.

Beyond Complaint is a musical poem that weaves images of rivers, seeds, and dawn with the story of Christ calming the storm. It is a meditation on prayer — not as silence, but as a call to rise, to mend, to act.

Beyond complaint

The river does not argue,
it flows.

The seed does not resist,
it yields.

The dawn does not hurry,
it comes in silence.

And Christ,
when the storm rose furious,
did not complain of the wind—
He stood,
He spoke,
and peace became the sea.

Prayer is not a whisper
to excuse my silence.
It is a call to rise,
to mend,
to act.

So if I am not willing
to take the first step,
why should I cry for a journey?

And if I will not forgive,
how can I ask for freedom?

Complaint circles,
but never heals.
Faith steps forward,
and finds the way opening.

To surrender is not defeat—
it is becoming more
than I was before.

Spirit of Christ,
meet me here.
Turn my stillness into flow,
my doubt into root,
my fear into prayer.

Beyond complaint
there is a horizon,
wide and waiting,
where grace walks beside me,
and each step
is the first.
